Rachel C. Jennings is an Associate Director of Career Services at the University of Chicago Law School. In that capacity, Ms. Jennings manages the Law School's Interview Coaching program and provides career counseling to JD and LL.M. students.
Prior to joining the University of Chicago Law School, Ms. Jennings was Director of Career Services and Recruitment Programs at Chicago-Kent College of Law, where she oversaw and managed all aspects of Chicago-Kent’s Fall On-Campus Interview Program. Before working in legal career services, Ms. Jennings practiced law at Vedder Price P.C. as an associate in the Commercial Litigation practice area. She represented and counseled corporations and individuals on all litigation concerns, including commercial, contract and tort matters. Ms. Jennings focused particularly on Securities Litigation and Government Enforcement and Special Investigations.
Prior to joining Vedder Price, Ms. Jennings served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Samuel Der-Yeghiayan in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. She also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Robert Cahill in the Illinois Appellate Court. While attending Chicago-Kent College of Law, Ms. Jennings was an intern at the Office of the Illinois State Appellate Defender, and she placed first in the Appellate Lawyers Association Midwest Moot Court Competition, winning Best Brief and Best Oral Argument.
