Bio

Gwendolyn is the Director of Career Services at the LSU, Paul M. Hebert Law Center, Baton Rouge, LA.  In her current position, she counsels students on all aspects of their job search and works with students interested in both traditional and alternative career paths. Ms. Ferrell works closely with the diverse students of the law center addressing their specific and unique needs and coordinates all minority job fairs.  In addition to her current role, Ms. Ferrell also served as a Title IX Investigator for Louisiana State University’s main campus student population.  

Prior to joining the Law Center, Gwendolyn started her career as a Counselor and Instructor with the University of Louisiana – Lafayette’s Junior Division and Counseling Center.  She later became the Leadership & Staff Development Coordinator for Louisiana Health Systems specializing in management and diversity training for the healthcare industry.  Her areas of expertise include counseling, performance management, curricula design and delivery, diversity training, workforce transitioning, communications and team building.

Gwendolyn is currently a member of the 2019-2020 NALP Board of Directors.  Her previous service to NALP include the 2005-2006 & 2014-2015 Nominating Committee; 2007-2008 Southeast Regional Coordinator; 2008 & 2017-2018 Annual Education Conference Planning Committee; 2009 Market Positioning & Branding Task Force and regular conference presenter and attendee. Gwendolyn holds both a B.A. in psychology and a M.A. in counseling psychology and is an active alumnae member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
