Happy Friday! I had so much fun at the AEC last week and enjoyed meeting so many of you throughout the week and at our meeting. What an incredible group!
I am circling up to remind folks to participate in this survey! This survey is particularly important to us as professionals and our Interest Group and the more data that can be collected and added to the survey from small and mid-size firms, the more data we have with respect to making a case for expanding our Departments and having a much better feel for the market in connection with our roles. EVERY NALP member working at a U.S. employer organization can complete the survey, so if you have multiple members in your organizations, please make sure everyone completes it. It does not take long and at all and the information is so important to us as professionals!
Thanks in advance and looking forward to another fantastic year for our Interest Group!

This biennial survey collects information that is the basis for the only comprehensive benchmarking resource on salaries, job duties, and other topics related to U.S.-based legal career professionals. The report is only possible with broad participation from professionals like you.
Because this survey collects individual job responsibility and salary data, we encourage every NALP member working at a U.S. employer organization to complete the survey. Please also share the survey link with colleagues in similar roles at your organization, even if they are not NALP members.
The survey is available online through Friday, May 8, 2026. A PDF version of the survey is posted on the NALP website to help you compile your information, but all responses must be submitted via the online survey.
As a thank you for your participation, you will have the opportunity to enter a drawing to win one of five prize packages from the NALP merchandise store!
A separate survey for Canadian legal career professionals will be administered later this spring/early summer. Individuals working at law schools should not participate. A separate law school survey will be administered in 2027.
For reference, the 2024 report is available for NALP-member access at: www.nalp.org/membersalarysurveys.
