As a member of NALP's Governance Engagement Task Force, I wanted to highlight the information below that was in last week's NALPnow! email.
I encourage you to read about the proposed changes (one aspect of which will make it easier for more people at your firm to be NALP members) and attend the Town Hall Discussion on July 28 at 2 pm ET.
Feel free to reach out to me with any questions.
Proposed NALP Membership and Governance Change
As an outgrowth of the 2023 Strategic Plan, the Governance Review Task Force was asked to analyze NALP's current membership structure taking into account increasing branch office growth and remote work structures. The Board also charged the Task Force with considering the voting structure in light of any suggested membership structure change. After two years of member engagement and outreach, they developed a number of recommendations. Learn more about the proposed changes on the NALP website. Members are also invited to hear directly from Task Force and Board members and join the conversation at the NALP Member Town Hall Discussion on July 28 at 2:00 pm ET. Register here.
