NALP's 2026 Survey of Legal Career Professionals in Law Firms and Employer Organizations Is Now Available to Complete through Friday, May 8

This biennial survey collects information that is the basis for the only comprehensive benchmarking resource on salaries, job duties, and other topics related to U.S.-based legal career professionals. This report is only possible with broad participation from professionals like you.

Because this survey collects individual job responsibility and salary data, we encourage every NALP member working at a U.S. employer organization to complete the survey. Please also share the survey link with colleagues in similar roles at your organization, even if they are not NALP members.

The survey is available online through Friday, May 8, 2026.  A PDF version of the survey is available on the survey homepage to help you compile your information, but all responses must be submitted via the online survey. A separate survey for Canadian legal career professionals will be administered later this spring/early summer.

As a thank you for your participation, you will have the opportunity to enter a drawing to win one of five prize packages from the NALP merchandise store!
