NALP's 2026 Survey of Legal Employers on Summer Program Recruiting is now open, and we need your help to provide the legal industry's most comprehensive resource on recruiting trends. To better reflect today's recruiting timelines and deliver insights sooner, NALP has divided the Recruiting Survey into two phases: Summer Program Recruiting (open now) and Summer Program Outcomes & 3L/Post-Clerkship Hiring (to launch this fall).
If your office recruited Class of 2028 students for a 2027 2L summer program, please submit a survey response by the extended deadline of Friday, August 28. Your participation ensures that NALP can continue to provide benchmarking data and trend analysis that legal employers rely on to evaluate recruiting strategies and understand evolving market conditions. Survey results will be featured in a NALP members-only research report (access last year's report here). Participation in this 2026 Survey of Legal Employers on Summer Program Recruiting is required for U.S. legal employer members to attend the 2027 Entry Level Recruiting Summit in New York in January. Summit registration will open in the fall.
